Solo running plans to champion your first 5KM distance, or keep improving.

The 5KM CLUB was a group challenge hosted twice in 2024. After the success of the 6-week journey, we have made the programs available to anyone who wants to start running solo. Running Program only.

FIRST 5KM - Using a walk/run methodology to build strength and confidence to achieve a 5 km run by the end of week 6. This program is for beginners. 3 runs per week.

NEXT 5KM - A bridging program to assist you in feeling more confident in the 5 km distance. This program is the next progression after you have completed your FIRST program. For someone who has recently run their first 5 km distance. 3 runs per week.

STRONGER 5KM - A program built for the recreational runner to level up their 5 km distance through varied running workouts, including interval training and longer easy runs. This is for a runner who wants to see progress in their 5 km, run stronger, better and challenge themselves. 3 - 4 weekly runs.

    Hi Lauren-Kate here, I’m a recreational runner who decided to go all the way. When I say all the way—I finished my first Comrades this year. It sounds crazy to me too.

    I believe that running is a sport for e-v-e-r-y-b-o-dy. It can be enjoyed solo, or in community, it is challenging and empowering, and it makes me believe that overcoming hard obstacles is possible!
